A manhunt near Cairo ended Tuesday afternoon with the arrest of fugitive Christopher Holcomb.
Missouri Highway Patrol Major Bret Johnson tells Superstation KRES Holcomb was arrested in a cornfield at about 2:15 pm. Another Patrol employee says Holcomb was arrested in a cornfield and was hiding in a brush pile. The Patrol resumed their manhunt Tuesday morning, after a resident spotted Holcomb near Highway 63. Holcomb had apparently knocked on a resident's door to request water.
Troopers used helicopters and aircraft during the search, as well as canine units from the Moberly Police Department.
Holcomb was wanted for a Louisiana probation and parole warrant, and another warrant issued by Georgia for drugs and assault. Stay tuned to KWIX/KRES/KIRK Radio for additional details.
