--Kathleen Barnes called with the Butter Bar Recipe.
She checked her information and did use real butter, not margarine.
A margarine "good for baking" may work, but most margarines are mostly water and that changes the end result.
here is that recipe...
"Butter Bars"
1 box yellow cake mix
1 8 oz cream cheese
2 eggs
1/2 cup melted butter (good baking margarine may work)
1 box of powdered sugar
Mix cake mix and melted butter with a fork, place in 9 by 13 pan, beat together the cream cheese, eggs and all the powdered sugar except 1/4th cup. Pour over cake mix, and bake at 350 for 30 minutes. When out of the oven, sprinkle with remaining powdered sugar.

"Barbecue Hamburger" (stuffed hamburger)
(makes 4 big patties)
2 lbs of hamburger and season with salt, pepper and garlic powder
1 small can of mushrooms chopped
1/2 cup of onion chopped
1/2 cup of chopped green peppers
4 slices of bacon
cheddar cheese
Make 8 hamburger patties (same sizes). On each of the 4 patties sprinkle mushrooms, onion, peppers and cheddar cheese. Then top with the other 4 patties, press the edges together and round them off so toppings don't come out; wrap each patty around the edge with a slice of bacon and secure with a toothpick, and then barbecue.

request, simple recipe for icing for about 12 cinnamon rolls
"Icing for Cinnamon Rolls"
use about 1 cup of powdered sugar
1 tbsp of non-dairy creamer (dry creamer)
sprinkle of salt
1 tsp melted butter (optional, cause creamer gives it lots of flavor)
1/2 to 1 tsp of vanilla
enough water to make spreading consistency
(can double if you want more)
came from bakery owner many years ago

only flour she has is "self rising"....do you need to get different flour, or, can you use and leave out the baking powder and baking soda???
