At 197 pounds, junior Charlie Gibbs (Moberly, Mo.) lost a 12-3 decision in his championship quarterfinal to Nic Leither of Northwestern College. He wrestle defeated Joe Lockett of Morningside College 11-6. In the evening session, he faced Alex Calvi of the University of Great Falls and was defeated 9-3. He will wrestle for seventh place on Saturday morning
At 184 pounds, sophomore Jesse Alter(Kirksville, Mo.) was pinned in the first period by Brian Block of Morningside College. Jesse defeated Spencer Adams of Campbellsville University 5-3. In the last match of the evening, Jesse was pinned by Evan Hinebauch of Montana State University in the third period. Jesse will wrestle for seventh place on Saturday morning.
Missouri Valley is in fourth place, with 97 points. Notre Dame of Ohio leads with 152-and-a half.
