"Southwest Turkey Bake"

lb of ground turkey (or leftover turkey)
small can of black beans, rinsed and drained (caller used kidney beans)
use half, of a 15 and 1/2 oz. jar of salsa
1/2 tsp of cumen
1/8 tsp ground red pepper
mix all together in a bowl
then,
1- 8 and 1/2 oz. package of corn muffin mix
3/4 cup chicken broth (or turkey broth)
1 egg
mix that together
put turkey mixture in a 9 x 13 pan
spread the muffin mixture over that
top with 3/4 cup shreaded cheese
bake at 400 for 15 or 20 minutes, until corn bread done
makes 8 servings

"Turkey Hash"

Take the turkey, the dressing, the potatoes, the noodles and the gravy
....mix all together....just heat it.

caller says, CAN USED DRIED APPLES...CAN DICE APPLES, PUT IN A LITTLE WATER IN MICROWAVE TO SOFTEN; MAY HAVE TO ADJUST THE LIQUID CONTENT FOR RIGHT CONSISTENCY

question about a "Cranberry Cake" recipe from the Taste of Home 1996 cookbook

no leavening agent listed in the ingredients....
LISTENER WENT ON LINE, THERE WAS NO LEAVENING AGENT

"Pulled Pork"

Put sliced pork sirloin in a crock pot
Pour barbeque sauce over it
Let cook on low, for 8 hours
Remove meat from crock pot and put onto cutting board, let stand 10 minutes.

Using 2 forks, shread meat.
Return to the cooker for a few minutes.
Srve on buns

"Turkey Pot Pie"

need 2 pastries, for a 2 crust pie
use a 9 inch pie pan
1/2 cup onions, chopped
1/2 cup flour
3 cups chicken broth (or turkey)
1-10 oz. bag of frozen mixed vegetables
1/2 cup sliced celery
6 Tbsp butter
3 cups of turkey cooked and cubed
1 cup of potatoes (peeled and cubed)
1/2 tsp celery salt

In a small sauce pan, cook potatoes and celery until tender, add frozen vegetables and cook for 5 minutes, and drain.
(In different pan)
Mix onions and butter until tender but not brown.
Blend in flour and salt, browning slightly.
Add the broth all at once. Cook and stir until thick and bubbly.
Add the turkey and cooked vegetables.
Stir in celery salt.
Set that aside.
Prepare pastry(pie crust) in the bottom of the pie pan.
Pour the turkey into the pie shell.
Put other pie shell on top, seal the edges, cut steam vents in the top.
Brush the top, with milk.
Bake 350 degrees, for 20 to 25 minutes, until crust is done on top.

Can deep freeze and bake later.
