RANCO CHILD DEATH UPDATE

Autopsy results are still pending in the death of an 18-month old boy in Randolph County, and Joe Laswell from Clark remains in custody on 250-thousand dollar cash only bond. According to the Highway Patrol report, shortly before 9:00am on Saturday, the Randolph County Sheriff's Department was notified that a family was transporting an unresponsive male child to Moberly Regional Medical Center. When officers arrived at MRMC, 18-month old Jayden Bradds, of rural Clark had been pronounced dead.

23 year-old Joe Laswell was arrested and is currently charged with Child Abuse, with one count of Domestic Assault being charged "in the alternative." Randolph County Prosecutor, Mike Fusselman, says further charges could be forthcoming, pending autospy results. Laswell is an acquaintance of the child's mother.
