AUDRAIN CO TRIPLE FATALITY

Three residents of east Audrain County are dead after a two-vehicle collision involving a tractor trailer Friday afternoon. The incident occurred at 4:30pm on Missouri highway 22, just west of County Road 233, when a vehicle driven by 21 year-old John Deak of Wellsville was Eastbound on 22 and crossed the center line, colliding with a tractor trailer driven by 52 year-old Jimmy Melnor of Huntsville. Deak and his two passengers, 22 year-old Timothy Penrod of Wellsville and 15 year-old Angela Conder of Benton City were all pronounced dead at the scene. Jimmy Melner was not injured. The Missouri Highway Patrol was assisted by the Audrain County Sheriff's Department.
