NEW MAMTEK SITE OWNER

A change in ownership of the Mamtek site, located on North Morley across from the Moberly Five-and-Drive, has taken place.
UMB Bank, based in Kansas City, confirmed for GoodRadio News Tuesday afternoon, that the financial institution took control of the property Friday, August 10th.
A spokesman for Corporate Communications at UMB, Pam Blase, says Zimmer Real Estate Services, which she described as a "property management company" has physicial control of the site and the few assets still on the land.
In a news release issued July 26th, the city of Moberly, the Industrial Development Authority and Area Economic Development Corporation expressed disappointment in what they saw was a lessening of prior support for Project Sugar and efforts to market the site to a new user.
Moberly Mayor Bob Riley says the city does not want a "flea market" approach to Mamtek. He says the site has value.
