The Northeast Missouri Development Partnership elected new officers for the 2012-13 years; terms began July 1st.
The incoming President is Gordon Ipson, Manager of Economic Development for Northeast Missouri Electric Power Cooperative in Palmyra.
Ipson served as Vice-President in 2011-12; he has over 35-years experience in Economic Development.
Ipson succeeds Denise Bennett, Executive Director of the Macon County Economic Development Corporation.
Elected Vice President will be Mark Grieshaber, Regional President of U.S. Bank; he is based in Hannibal.
Teresa Keller, Executive Director of Shelby County Economic Development Corporation will continue as Secretary, and Jim Burns will continue as Treasurer. Jim is an engineer with the Veteran's Administration Hospital in Columbia and former City Administrator in Monroe City.
Another member of the Northeast District Executive Committee will be Director-at-Large David Gaines; he's the Vice President of Moberly Area Economic Development Corporation.
Gaines also served as the economic developer for Montgomery City and was one of the original founding members of the Northeast Missouri Development Partnership.
The member counties are Adair, Audrain, Chariton, Clark, Knox, Lewis, Macon, Marion, Monroe, Montgomery, Ralls, Randolph, Schuyler (SKY ler), Scotland and Shelby.
The annual meeting of the group was held June 26th in Clarence.
