A Kirksville resident was arrested Tuesday and charged with 2 counts of burglary in the 2nd degree and one count of stealing over 500-dollars in connection with the theft of five horse saddles from a location on Marshall Road in Excello.
The Macon County Sheriff's Department says 33-year old Randall Perkins of Kirksville remains in custody in lieu of 9,000-dollars bond.
Sheriff Robert Dawson says deputies on Monday collected evidence at the scene involving the theft in Excello of the five saddles and a chainsaw.
Tuesday the victims noticed a posting on Craigslist advertising several saddles for sale matching the description of their stolen property.
Macon County Deputies conducted an undercover operation to purchase the items at the Moberly Wal-Mart and arrested Perkins.
Macon County Sheriff's Department was assisted by the Moberly Police Department.
