O'Sullivan says bank robberies are frequently committed by out-of-towners.

Harrisburg's Commercial Trust Company on West Sexton was robbed June 4. The suspect entered the bank and displayed a note indicating she had a weapon, then demanded cash. The suspect escaped with an undetermined amount of money, and was last seen running north from the bank. There were no injuries in the incident. While the suspect appears to be a black female, O'Sullivan tells GoodRadio investigators are not discounting the possibility that it was a man dressed up as a woman.

Investigators continue to follow-up on leads. Detective O'Sullivan encourages anyone with information to call investigators at (573) 875-1111.
