A Moberly teen who tried to bite a police officer Monday morning remains jailed in Huntsville.
The incident began near the intersection of Morley and Halleck Streets. Moberly Police Chief Russell Tarr tells GoodRadio the 19-year-old suspect tried to bite the officer while being transported to the police station. Tarr says the suspect also caused some damage to the patrol vehicle.
The suspect has been arrested for three misdemeanors: attempted assault on a law enforcement officer, property damage and stealing. Formal charges haven't been filed yet, so the suspect's name hasn't been released.
