Sturgeon's basketball teams took a pair of wins out of Glasgow Tuesday night to secure outright Central Activities Conference championships.
The Bulldog boys used a dominating 28-7 third quarter to provide the distance in a 74-50 victory over the Yellowjackets.
After leading by seven points at halftime, Sturgeon used a big quarter from a freshman to pull away.....

Lorenzo Chisolm scored 12 of his 16 points in the third period for the Bulldogs and used his speed at guard to disrupt Glasgow's ball handlers. Lane Arends led all scorers with 24 points, while Blake Hackman led Glasgow with his 14 points.

Sturgeon is now 23-2 this season, on an 18-game winning streak, and captured the CAC championship with a perfect 12-0 record. Glasgow fell back to 20-5 after the loss.
Sturgeon's boys will face Westran in the first round of the Class Two, District Seven tournament next Tuesday, while Glasgow's boys will take on Bosworth in the first round of the Class One, District Ten tourney next Monday.
The Lady Bulldogs got a 16-point night from Krissy Arends and survived late foul trouble to capture a 50-43 win over Glasgow.
While Nikki Fuemmeler got 16 points for Glasgow to tie for game-high honors, only four other Lady 'Jackets scored in the game. Seven Lady Bulldogs notched points in the win, which earned them an outright CAC championship.

The Lady Bulldogs advanced to a 20-5 record heading into a Monday night district matchup against Westran. Glasgow has a first-round bye in its district tournament, and will face the winner of a Tina-Avalon and Brunswick matchup in next Thursday's semifinals.
