REBOUNDING KEY IN HANNIBAL WIN AT MOBERLY



The Moberly boys hung tough, but visiting #10 Hannibal remained perfect in the NCMC after a 65-52 win Friday night. The score was tied at 18 after the first quarter, but the Pirates began the second on a 10-1 run. Moberly would counter on Winter Homecoming night...

The Spartans scored ten straight to lead 29-28 with two minutes left before intermission. Hannibal wore Moberly down in the second half though, especially on the offensive glass, to take control.

Christian Williams, a 6'6" senior forward, led all scorers with 18 points for Hannibal. He led four Pirates in double figures. Moberly got 13 points from J-Von Spiller, twelve from Acie Seifert, and eleven from Cory Briggs. Head coach Mark Anderson says his team, playing without injured star forward Rashaun Smith, struggled on the glass...

The Spartans dip to 13-7 on the season, and 4-4 in the NCMC. Hannibal is 18-5 overall, 9-0 in the conference.
