A Milan all-stater signed a National Letter of Intent to play football at Truman University Wednesday. 6'4", 230-pound Cooper Bankus is projected as a tight end, by the Bulldog coaching staff. Bankus rushed for 1,377 yards and 16 touchdowns, in helping the Wildcats to a perfect regular season, as a senior. On defense, Bankus registered 95 tackles, forced two fumbles, and had two sacks. He earned second team all-state honors from both the media and coaches.
Also among those signing Wednesday to play for Truman football coach Gregg Nesbitt, were Hannibal tight end Connor Brown and Rock Bridge quarterback Bo Bell.
Brown was an all-NCMC selection at both the tight end and defensive end positions. The 6'2", 200-pounder averaged over 28-yards per catch in earning third team all-state recognition.
Bell threw for over 1,800 yards and ran for another 500 in helping the Bruins to their first playoff appearance in five years.

Salisbury's Jeremiah Jackson was one of about 40 players who signed to play for CMU next fall. The class includes a transfer from Iowa State, and several players from Hawaii and California. We'll have more about the Eagles recruits coming up on future sportscasts.
Former Moberly Spartan wide receiver David Tooley will make the switch to Division II as a transfer at Northwest Missouri State.
Tooley appeared in ten games as a true freshman for Wyoming catching seven passes for 115 yards in 2009. An all-stater for Moberly, Tooley posted 57 catches for 921 yards while helping the Spartans to back-to-back playoff appearcances.
According to the Athletics Department Tooley is currently enrolled at Northwest and will participate in spring practice.
