HOUNDS FALL AT INDIAN HILLS WITHOUT SPOONHOUR



The MACC Greyhounds, playing without head coach Jay Spoonhour, lost at #4 Indian Hills Tuesday night 92-81.

Spoonhour missed the game to be with his ailing father, former Moberly head coach Charlie Spoonhour. The Hounds struggled early in his absence, giving up the first six points and trailing 26-18. They would battle back though, to claim their first lead late in the half....

The Warriors responded with a 12-2 run, led 50-41 at halftime, and never trailed in the second.

Davonne Henry came off the bench to lead the Hounds in scoring, with 15 points and six rebounds. Derrick Dilworth had 12 points and eight boards, Daylen Robinson scored a dozen, and Kenny Williams had ten points and nine rebounds.

Nate Johnson, who served as head coach in Spoonhour's absence, saw his team turn it over 33 times against the Warrior pressure, and only shoot 25% on three-pointers...

The Greyhounds drop to 13-7 on the season. The loss ends a three-game winning streak against Indian Hills, and a two-game streak in Ottumwa.

The Warriors improve to 22-1 overall. Jameel McKay came off the bench to lead the scoring, with 17 points on 8-11 shooting. Roderick Bobbitt added eleven points and ten assists.
