"Sausage and Rice Casserole"

1 pound sausage
1 small onion, chopped
1 can cream of chicken soup
1 soup can of water
1 cup cooked rice
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese.

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Brown the sausage and onion and drain it.  Add soup, water, rice, and cheese and mix well. Put into a greased casserole dish and bake 25 minutes until hot throughout.

"Six Fruit Salad"

2 cups fresh strawberries, quartered
1 cup cubed honey dew melon
1/2 cup fresh blueberries
1 large apple, chopped
1 large navel orange, peeled and chopped
1 large banana, cut into 1/4-inch slices
1/2 cup orange juice

In a large bowl, combine all the fruits. Drizzle with orange juice and stir gently. Serve immediately. Makes 8 servings.

can you substitute self-rising flour for flour when making cinnamon rolls

LISTENERS, SELF RISING HAS BAKING POWDER IN IT. YEAST FOR CINNAMON ROLLS. THINKS WOULD HAVE EXTRA TALL ROLLS AND WOULDN'T TRY IT
ALL PURPOSE INTO SELF RISING, 1 CUP ALL-PURPOSE FLOUR--1 1/2 TSP BAKING POWDER--1/2 TSP SALT....SUGGESTS CUTTING BACK THE SALT, THAT WOULD KEEP CINNAMON ROLLS FROM RISING

SPLIT THEM IN TWO AND MAKE A CUT ACROSS THE TOP AND BOTTOM, TO KEEP FROM JUMPING. SALT, PEPPER AND FLOUR IN A SKILLET. SOME DIP IN MILK.

Need a caramel corn recipe (hers too sticky)

"Caramel Corn"

3/4 cups popcorn/6 cups already popped corn
in a separate pan....
melt 1 1/2 tbsp unsalted butter
add 1 1/2 cup light brown sugar, 6 tbsp water

Stir over low heat until sugar is dissolved and bring to medium heat. Wash down the sides with pastry brush dipped in warm water. Place a warm candy thermometer in the pan and cook. Pour over the popcorn and stir.

"Caramel Corn"

2 cups brown sugar
1/2 cup white corn syrup
1 tsp baking soda
6 quarts of popped popcorn
2 sticks oleo
1 tsp salt
1 tsp vanilla
1 cup nuts (optional)

Boil sugar, butter, syrup and salt for 5 minutes. Remove from heat. Add baking soda and vanilla. Pour over the popped corn and nuts. Stir until well coated. Spread in a shallow pan, in 200 temperature, for 1 hour. Stir every 15 minutes. Remove from oven and cool and store in a covered container.

"Caramel Corn"

2 cups brown sugar
2 sticks oleo
1/2 white syrup
1/2 tsp soda
pinch salt

Boil the sugar, oleo, syrup and salt for 5 minutes stirring often. Remove from heat. Add 1/2 tsp soda. Stir well....will be kind of foamy....Pour over gallon or gallon and a half of popped corn. Put in a large flat pan or 2 pans, so easy to stir. Place in 250 degree oven for one hour. Stir well every 15 minutes.

Brad's mom's recipe

"Microwave Caramel Corn"

pop 4 quarts of popcorn and put in a brown bag
In a microwave bowl, mix the following....
1/4 tsp salt
1 stick oleo
1 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup white syrup
Microwave for 1 minute. Stir it. Microwave 1 minute more. Add 1/4 tsp soda. Mix up and pour in bag of corn. Shake it up and fold down the top. Microwave 1 minute. Take out and shake it. Do that 4 times. Let the steam out and pour on cookie sheet or wax paper. Let it cool to break up.
