RANDOLPH CO ACCIDENT NETS DRIVER MULTIPLE CHARGES



A Huntsville man is facing felony charges after receiving serious injuries in a one vehicle accident Sunday afternoon in Randolph County. According to the Highway Patrol, 27 year-old Douglas Jaecques  was eastbound on County Road 11-15, 2 miles west of Huntsville at 12:47pm Sunday afternoon, when the vehicle he was driving travelled off the north side of the roadway and overturned, ejecting him from the vehicle. Jaecques was seriously injured, and transported by helicopter to a Columbia hospital. According to the report, Jaecques was charged with Felony Resisting Arrest by Fleeing, Driving While Intoxicated, Careless and Imprudent Driving Resulting in an Accident, and several other traffic related charges. The Highway Patrol was assisted by the Randolph County Sheriff's Department, and the Huntsville Fire Department.
