MISSOURI LAWMAKER PROPOSES CHANGE IN SCHOOL HOURS



A legislative bill is being proposed to the State Department of Elementary and Secondary Education that would change the number of hours students would have to attend class in a school calendar year. Cedar Creek State Representive Lyle Rowland is proposing the change of hours legislation:

Rowland says the change in the number of school hours per year will help give school districts flexibility in their school calendar:

Rowland says the change would reduce incidental costs to school districts thoughout the state, keeping the schools at a functioning level, and reducing the number of days that school busses would be on the roads.
