PUTNAM COUNTY RELAY FOR LIFE


The Putnam County Relay for Life will be held Saturday, September 20th in the Unionville City Park from noon-midnight.

MOBERLY GREYHOUND BOOSTER CLUB ANNUAL SCRIMMAGE


The Moberly Greyhound Booster Club will sponsor the annual scrimmages for both teams on Sunday, September 21st at 4pm at the MACC Activity Center. There will be a meal served afterwards. Those attending are asked to bring a covered dish to share. The meat, drinks, and table service will be provided by the booster club.

PILOT GROVE FFA BARBECUE


The Pilot Grove FFA will have a barbecue Sunday, September 21st from 4-8pm at the high school commons. Tickets are ten dollars for adults and five dollars for kids 6 through 12. Kids under 6 eat free. Home deliveries are available. For advance tickets call the Ag Department at 834-4415, extension 3013.

RANDOLPH AREA YMCA ADULT RACQUETBALL LEAGUE


The Randolph Area YMCA invites you to play in their YMCA Adult Racquetball League for men and women age 18 and up. Each team/player will play ten matches beginning the week of September 22nd. HIGBEE FFA OPEN HOUSE


Higbee High School will welcome several State FFA Officers on Tuesday, September 23rd to discuss the prospect of forming a chapter at the school.  Officers will speak with students at 10am and will present information to parents and community members at 6pm in the gymnasium.

MACON COUNTY HISTORICAL SOCIETY SANATORIUM REUNION AND LUNCHEON


The Macon County Historical Society will host the annual Sanatorium Reunion and Luncheon on Saturday, September 27th at 10am at the Macon County Museum south of Macon across from the fairgrounds. Bring your story and join us as we talk about the Still-Hildreth Sanatorium. A doctor from Canada will be coming to hear the stories and learn about the operation of the facility. SHELBY COUNTY FREE PESTICIDE COLLECTION


A free pesticide collection will take place at the Shelby County Fairgrounds on the north edge of Shelbina on  Saturday, September 27th from 8am-1pm.

FALL MACON CITY WIDE GARAGE SALES DAY


Saturday, September 27th will be the Fall Macon City Wide Garage Sales Day from 7am-2pm. Information is available at the event website: www.maconcitywidegaragesales.webs.com or the facebook page. Proceeds benefit the 2015 Relay For Life of Macon County. Registrations accepted until September 12th at David Fiedler Agency American Family Insurance located at 206 N Missouri St in Macon.

TEEN CHALLENGE OPEN HOUSE


Teen Challenge of Central Missouri will have an open house at their new home in Clark for women and children, beginning Saturday, September 27th at 2pm.

MOBERLY MOTORS SHOW AND SHINE


As part of the 50th anniversary celebration of the Ford Mustang, Moberly Motors will host a Show and Shine event on Saturday, September 27th from 10am-3pm.

MIZZOU "FUN ON THE FARM"


Mizzou's annual "Fun on the Farm" is from 10am-4pm Saturday, September 27th at the South Farm off Highway 63 in Columbia. Visitors will have a chance to play with a baby pig, walk with a falconer, watch the Mule Team parade, and go through the corn maze. Experts from the university will be on hand to talk gardening, horticulture, entomology, and grape growing and wine production. Concessions will include Buck's Ice Cream. RED TOP CHRISTIAN CHURCH SMORGASBORD


Red Top Christian Church in Hallsville is hosting a smorgasbord on Saturday, September 27th, at the Hallsville Primary School Commons. Serving will be from 4-7pm. The cost for adults is $10, $5 for children 5-12, and children four and under are free. Red Top is renowned for having great cooks and at this 60+ year tradition. Please come and join us for this fun day or food and fellowship!

MOBERLY COMMUNITY KITCHEN FALL-A-RAMA FUNDRAISING LUNCHEON


The Moberly Community Kitchen will host a Fall-A-Rama fundraising luncheon on Monday, September 29th from 11am-1:30pm. Tickets are $8. Delivery and takeouts are available. Call between 8-11am on Monday. The menu is southwestern grande. For more information, contact Marion at (660) 651-4656.

RANDOLPH AREA YMCA YOUTH BASKETBALL CHEERLEADING


The Randolph Area YMCA invites you to come cheer on our YMCA Basketball Cheerleading team for boys and girls age three through sixth grade. Games are played on Saturday mornings beginning November 1st. Practices begin in late October. The deadline to register is Friday, October 10th. The fee is $30 for members and $40 for non-members. RANDOLPH AREA YMCA LITTLE TYKES SPORTS SAMPLER


The Randolph Area YMCA invites you to try their new Little Tykes Sports Sampler. Ages 1-4 can sample a new sport each week. Basketball, t-ball, and soccer will be introduced during this class which runs six weeks and is 45 minutes each week. Classes will be held at either 10am or 1:30pm. RANDOLPH AREA YMCA KIDS NIGHT OUT


The Randolph Area YMCA invites you to drop off your kids for a night of swimming, games, and a lot of fun. Pizza will be provided by the YMCA. Kids Night Out will be the second Friday of each month from 6:30-9:30pm, September through  December. The cost is $15 per child and pre-registration is required. RANDOLPH AREA YMCA COMPETITIVE SWIM TEAM


The Randolph Area YMCA invites boys and girls 6-18 years old to come swim on their competitive swim team. They will be competing in many swim meets from October through February. Practices are held on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursdays from 6-7:30pm beginning Monday, September 29th. Children must be able to swim a full length of the pool (25 yards) unassisted. You can register at anytime throughout the season. The cost is $40 monthly for members and $50 for non-members, plus a one-time $25 swim meet fee per swimmer.
