CHARITON COUNTY COMMUNITY FOUNDATION GOLF TOURNAMENT REGISTRATION DEADLINE


The Chariton County Community Foundation is hosting its 12th annual golf tournament on Saturday, August 9th at Salisbury Municipal Golf Course. Registration for your two-person team is $150 and includes a free lunch and beverages, and is due by August 1st. For more information, call (660) 288-2223 or email cccf@charitoncounty.org.

COMMUNITY KITCHEN BAKED FOOD SALE


The 2nd Annual Baked Food sale for the Community Kitchen will be held Saturday, August 2nd during the Sidewalk Bazaar. It starts at 6am. All proceeds benefit the Community Kitchen.

NANCY BRENNAN MEMORIAL 5K


Nancy Brennan's Memorial 5K will be Saturday, August 2nd. Registration check-in will be at 7:15am with the race starting at 8:15am. Entry forms can be picked up at Citizen's Bank in Macon or call Linda at (660) 768-5649.

MOBERLY LIBRARY PRESENTATION: TIPS FROM THE CONSUMER QUEEN


"Tips from the Consumer Queen" will be presented at Little Dixie Regional Library in Moberly, Saturday August 2nd at 10am.

ZION LUTHERAN CHURCH RUMMAGE SALE


There will be a Rummage Sale at Zion Lutheran Church at 1075 East Urbandale on Friday, August 1st from 12-6pm and Saturday, August 2nd from 7am-12pm. Proceeds to benefit the Zion Lutheran Preschool.

RANDOLPH COUNTY HISTORICAL SOCIETY SIDEWALK SALE FUNDRAISER


The Randolph County Historical Society Sidewalk Sale Fundraiser will be held on Saturday, August 2nd from 8am-2pm at 223 North Clark. Proceeds will benefit the Historical Society programs and events. Call 263-9396 if you want to donate items for the fundraiser.
 

MARK TWAIN BIRTHPLACE OPEN HOUSE MEETING


The public is invited to bring their ideas to an open house meeting at the Mark Twain Birthplace State Historic Site, in Florida, Missouri on Saturday, August 2nd from 3-5pm.

PALMYRA YOUNG FARMERS NORTHEAST TRUCK AND TRACTOR PULL


The Palmyra Young Farmers Northeast Truck and Tractor Pull will be held Saturday, August 2nd at 7pm at the Marion County Fairgrounds. General admission is $15.
 

KIRKSVILLE NEIGHBORHOOD BLOCK PARTY


The last Neighborhood Block Party of the summer for Kirksville Parks and Recreation Department is Saturday, August 2nd from 6-8pm at Brashear Park. This "Under the Sea" themed party is a free event and will host many activities including sand art, yard games, water balloons, and much more! The wading pool will be open during the hours of the block party, there will be hotdogs for everyone to enjoy.

WESTRANT ATHLETE/PARENT MEETING


Westran athletes going into grades 7-12 and their parents should attend a meeting on Sunday, August 3rd at 2pm in the Westran Band Room and bring their completed physicals.

MOBERLY LIBRARY CURSIVE WRITING COURSE


The Moberly Library begins a month-long course on cursive writing on July 7th. The course is free, and all materials are provided. Judy Carr is the instructor, and the class will be held every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday through August 7th. Registration is requested, and patrons may register at the check-out desk. HUNTSVILLE FIRST BAPTIST CHURCH USED CLOTHING COLLECTION AND DISTRIBUTION


Huntsville First Baptist Church is taking good, used clothes for all ages, plus school supplies and toys to distribute free on Saturday, August 2nd to help families with back-to-school needs. You can drop them off at the church weekdays between 8:30am and noon, or call the church office at (660) 277-4687 for more information.

ROTHWELL PARK MINIATURE TRAIN


The Miniature Train, located in Moberly's Rothwell Park, will be open Sunday, August 3rd from 1-4:30pm.

REGIONAL RADIO RED CROSS BLOOD DRIVE


Our radio stations are sponsoring a Red Cross blood drive at Central Christian Church on 4th Street in Moberly on Monday, August 4th from noon-6pm. Those giving will receive a St. Louis Cardinals T-shirt while supplies last.

CENTRAL MISSOURI HONOR FLIGHT GOLF TOURNAMENT


There will be a Central Missouri Honor Flight Golf Tournament on Friday, August 8th at Oak Hills Golf Course in Jefferson City. To enter, please contact Bob Linnenbrink at (573) 619-4885 or email b_linnenbrink@hotmail.com. All proceeds to benefit the Central Missouri Honor Flight. 

RANDOLPH AREA YMCA GOLF TOURNAMENT ENTRY DEADLINE


The Randolph Area YMCA invites you to find a foursome and sign up for the 4th Annual Golf Tournament. The tournament is a four-person scramble held at Heritage Hills Golf Course in Moberly. Prizes are awarded to top finishers and lunch is provided. The cost to enter is $50 per person or $200 per foursome. The deadline to enter is Friday, August 8th. KIRKSVILLE AREA CHAMBER OF COMMERCE GOLF TOURNAMENT


The Kirksville Area Chamber of Commerce will host its 20th Annual Golf Tournament on Friday, August 8th. Registration begins at 8:30am and a shotgun start at 10am. MOBERLY SPARTAN BOOSTER CLUB GOLF TOURNAMENT


The Moberly Spartan Booster Club golf tournament will be held Saturday, August 16th, at 9am at Heritage Hills Course. The four-person scramble costs $300 per team of $75 per person. The Randolph Area YMCA invites you to come cheer on our YMCA Football Cheerleading team for boys and girls age three through the sixth grade. Each team will cheer at six games and all games will be played on Tuesday or Thursday evenings at the YMCA. RANDOLPH AREA YMCA PRE/POST-NATAL FITNESS CLASSES


The Randolph Area YMCA invites you to come try out their prenatal and postnatal fitness classes. The classes are taught by Nikki Carter who is a NAFTA certified instructor. A doctor's waiver is required to participate. Classes begin the week of August 25th and runs through October 16th. Class times are Mondays from 6-6:45pm (1st trimester) and 7-7:45pm (2nd trimester), and Thursdays from 6-6:45pm (3rd trimester) and 7-7:45pm (postnatal).
