SHELBY COUNTY HEALTH DEPARTMENT FLU CLINIC


The Shelby County Health Department will host a Flu Clinic at their office on Tuesday, September 30th from 8:30am-4:30pm. The cost is $20. If you have Medicare (not HMO), or Medicaid you must bring your card and social security card with you.

NORTHWEST HIGH SCHOOL COMECOMING DINNER


Northwest High School in Hughesville will have a homecoming dinner Friday, October 3rd starting at 5pm. Dinner includes fried fish, pulled pork, baked beans, baked potatoes, cole slaw, applesauce, pie, cake and tea. The cost is $7.50 in advance and eight dollars at the door for adults, and children 6-11 get in for five dollars. For more information, call (660) 827-0774.

MACON FORK AND CORK FESTIVAL


The Macon Fork and Cork Festival will take place on Saturday, October 4th in downtown Macon. The day begins with a run/walk, includes an Art Festival, food and wine, along with live music starting at 11am and continuing into the evening.

DANVILLE DAY


Danville Day on Saturday, October 4th commemorates the 150th anniversary of Civil War raiders burning the Montgomery County Court house, then in Danville, and other buildings in the area. There will be tours to Baker Plantation home, The Danville academy, the courthouse that was erected to replace the burned one and other points of interest. Other things to see will be crafters of that time period demonstrating their crafts, music, and food vendors. Everything is free and open to the public. HORTICULTURE AND AGROFORESTRY RESEARCH CENTER FIELD DAY


The annual field day at the Horticulture and Agroforestry Research Center is Saturday, October 4th from 9am-2pm outside of New Franklin.  Demonstrations include crop production of chestnuts, black walnut, pecan and grapes, increasing biodiversity in your farmland, pine straw production, biofuel trials, and a commercial chestnut harvester.

WOUNDED WARRIOR BENEFIT BASKETBALL GAME


The Basketball Game to benefit The Wounded Warrior Project will be Saturday, October 4th at 7pm at the Moberly High School Gymnasium. There is a suggested donation of $5.

IMMACULATE CONCEPTION OKTOBERFEST


Oktoberfest will take place on Sunday, October 5th from 11am-4:30pm at Immaculate Conception School in Macon.

ALLEN TRAIN ROBBERY RE-ENACTMENT


The Allen Train Robbery Re-enactment will take place on Sunday, October 5th at the miniature train area of Rothwell Park.

HUNTSVILLE FIRST BAPTIST CHURCH REVIVAL


Huntsville First Baptist Church will be in Revival October 5th-9th. Evangelist Dr. Melvin Poe will bring a series on the book of Revelation with music provided by Bud and Barbara Lee.  Sunday morning service begins at 10:30am and Sunday-Thursday evening services at 6:30pm. There will also be noon Bible Study luncheons Monday-Thursday from 12-1pm with lunch provided.

RANDOLPH AREA YMCA YOUTH BASKETBALL CHEERLEADING


The Randolph Area YMCA invites you to come cheer on our YMCA Basketball Cheerleading team for boys and girls age three through sixth grade. Games are played on Saturday mornings beginning November 1st. Practices begin in late October. The deadline to register is Friday, October 10th. The fee is $30 for members and $40 for non-members. RANDOLPH AREA YMCA YOUTH BASKETBALL LEAGUE


The Randolph Area YMCA invites you to come play in our YMCA Youth Basketball League for boys and girls age three through third grade. Each team will play six games on Saturday mornings at the YMCA beginning November 1st. Practices begin in late October. The deadline to register is Friday, October 10th. FALL HARVEST ROAD TRIP


The 2nd Annual Fall Harvest Road trip will be held October 4th and 5th and again on October 11th and 12th with three stops: Happy Jacks Dry Goods in Higbee, Ma Tin's Attic of Clark, and Route A Country Store southwest of Moberly.  Hours are Saturday 9am-5pm and Sunday 1-5pm.

RANDOLPH AREA YMCA LITTLE TYKES SPORTS SAMPLER


The Randolph Area YMCA invites you to try their new Little Tykes Sports Sampler. Ages 1-4 can sample a new sport each week. Basketball, t-ball, and soccer will be introduced during this class which runs six weeks and is 45 minutes each week. Classes will be held at either 10am or 1:30pm. RANDOLPH AREA YMCA KIDS NIGHT OUT


The Randolph Area YMCA invites you to drop off your kids for a night of swimming, games, and a lot of fun. Pizza will be provided by the YMCA. Kids Night Out will be the second Friday of each month from 6:30-9:30pm, September through  December. The cost is $15 per child and pre-registration is required. RANDOLPH AREA YMCA COMPETITIVE SWIM TEAM


The Randolph Area YMCA invites boys and girls 6-18 years old to come swim on their competitive swim team. They will be competing in many swim meets from October through February. Practices are held on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursdays from 6-7:30pm beginning Monday, September 29th. Children must be able to swim a full length of the pool (25 yards) unassisted. You can register at anytime throughout the season. The cost is $40 monthly for members and $50 for non-members, plus a one-time $25 swim meet fee per swimmer. HUNTSVILLE COMMUNITY CLUB FUNDRAISER
