24TH ANNUAL MOBERLY CROSS COUNTRY 5K ROAD RACE


The 24th annual Moberly Cross Country 5K Road Race will be run Saturday morning at 8:30 in Rothwell Park.  The cost to race is $18 if you preregister by Wednesday.  Registration will stay open until the race starts, with the entry fee being $20 after the preregistration period closes.  For a registration form, contact Todd Beaverson at 660-651-9320.

CENTRALIA 4TH OF JULY BELL RINGING


The Centralia 4th of July Bell Ringing program will begin at 10am, on the city square. The speaker will be Gunnery Sgt. Lindsey Ward.

CENTRALIA HURRICANES SWIMTEAM WATER GAMES


The Centralia Hurricanes Swimteam Water Games will be held this Saturday, July 4th at the park in Centralia.  There's 3-on-3 Water Basketball, Kayak Racing in the pond and a giant Slip n' Slide!  All proceeds benefit updated equipment and future needs for the swimteam.

PERRY 4TH OF JULY CELEBRATION


The Perry 4th of July Celebration will begin at 9:30am in Perry.  Some of the events include an antique tractor pull, parade, kids games and more.  Also, take the opportunity to ride Missouri's oldest carousel!

ALL-AMERICAN RED, WHITE AND BLUE FESTIVAL IN KIRKSVILLE


The All-American Red, White and Blue Festival will take place in Kirksville this Thursday through Saturday.

MARK TWAIN LAKE RODEO


The annual Mark Twain Lake Rodeo will be held Thursday, Friday and Saturday at 8 o'clock nightly, at the Warren G. See South Spillway Recreation Area just below Clarence Cannon Dam. Advance tickets are $12 and $15 at the gate. Children 6 and under are free.

MARCELINE 4TH OF JULY CELEBRATION


The Marceline 4th of July Celebration, sponsored by the Marceline Fire Department, includes nine days of events leading up to their big fireworks display on Independence Day. You can find the full schedule with a link on our "fairs and festivals" page at centralmoinfo.com under "upcoming events".

MOBERLY 4TH OF JULY EXTRAVAGANZA


The Moberly 4th of July Extravaganza will take place Saturday at Rothwell Park and the Howard Hils Athletic Complex. The Moberly Aquatic Center will be open from noon-4pm, the Magic City Line Mini Train will run from 2-5pm, there will be bounce houses and musical entertainment from 2:30-7pm, there will be an air show at 7:30pm followed by a huge music synchronized fireworks display at dark, at the Athletic Complex.

RED CROSS SWIMMING LESSONS


The Marceline Swimming Pool will host a series of Red Cross Swimming Lessons, starting the morning of July 6th.   Parents are asked to register that first morning between 9:30 and 9:45.  For more information about swimming lessons in Marceline, call 660-376-3138.

PARIS SENIOR CENTER EXERCISE CLASS


The Paris Senior Center invites you to exercise classes on Monday, Wednesday and Friday mornings. Video exercise begins at 9am, followed by sittercises at 9:30am. To sign up for a class, contact Tara or Jesse at 660-327-5824.

FITZGIBBON HOSPITAL PETE H. REA MEMORIAL GOLF TOURNAMENT


The Fitzgibbon Hospital Pete H. Rea Memorial Golf Tournament will be held Saturday, July 11th at Indian Foothills Golf Course in Marshall.  It’s an 18-hole, 3-person scramble with shotgun starts at 8:00 and 1:30.  Special entertainment has been booked in celebration of the 25th Anniversary of the Pete H. MCHD PRENATAL CLASS


The Macon County Health Department will host a prenatal class July 7th and 14th from 3:30-5pm both days.  There will be gifts, snacks, prizes and more, and dads are welcome too!  For more information, contact the department at 660-395-4711.

MOBERLY LITTLE SPARTAN FOOTBALL CAMP


Moberly Little Spartan football camp for grades 3-6 will take place Monday and Tuesday, July 13-14th, from 10-noon. Middle school football camp will be the following Wednesday and Thursday, July 15-16th, from 10-noon. The cost for both camps is $10. Also, Hardees will host a "Share Night" fundraiser for the Moberly football program Monday, July 13th, from 5-8pm. A portion of the proceeds will go to Spartan football.

RANDOLPH AREA YMCA GOLF TOURNAMENT


The Randolph Area YMCA invites you to play in its 5th Annual YMCA Golf Tournament. The four-person scramble will take place at 8am Saturday, August 22nd at Heritage Hills Golf Course in Moberly. RANDOLPH AREA YMCA BALLROOM DANCING LESSONS


The Randolph Area YMCA invites you to sign up for ballroom dancing lessons. Private and semi-private lessons are available for singles and couples with instructor Milton Bolzendahl, who specializes in Viennese Waltz, Slow Waltz, Foxtrot, Quickstep, and Tango. The cost is $20 for members or $80 dollars for non-members for six hour-long private lessons or twelve hour-long semi-private lessons.
