MACON COUNTY RELAY FOR LIFE


An 80's themed Costume Contest is the highlight of a fundraiser for Macon County Relay for Life at the Macon Skate Center May 30th.  Entry is $10 per person, the costume contest is $5, and the event is hosted by Team Onshore Outsourcing and the Macon County Relay for Life.  The event will be held from 3:30-5:30pm.

FAYETTE FUN FEST


Fayette Fun Fest will be Thursday through Saturday, May 28-30.  Times Thursday and Friday are 4-11 p.m. and events will continue on Saturday from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m.  Reduced wrist bands will be available from 5-9 p.m. each day for unlimited riding.  The Family Funfest is sponsored by Fayette Main Street, Incorporated.

ROUTE Z AND 63 SPECIAL CAR SHOW


The Route Z and 63 Special Car Show will be held Saturday, May 30th at Route Z and 63 Restaurant in Cairo. Registration is from 11am-1pm. Judging will be at 2pm and awards at 3pm. An outdoor music show will begin at 7:30pm with Memories of Elvis Celebrating the Fifties. For more information, call the restaurant at 660-263-0960.

RANDOLPH AREA YMCA SUMMER WEIGHT LOSS CHALLENGE


The Randolph Area YMCA invites you to participate in its Summer Weight Loss Challenge. The challenge awards weekly prizes as well as grand prizes to the top overall finishers. The deadline to sign up is Sunday, May 31st, and the challenge begins Monday, June 1st. The contest is only for YMCA members, as is $20 before, or $25 after the deadline.

MOBELRY MAYB TOURNAMENT


The Moberly MAYB Tournament will be conducted at the MACC Activity Center on May 30-31. Teams are guaranteed three, four or five games depending on their choice and competition is open to girls and boys teams grades 3-12. There will be age division breakdowns, and 1st, 2nd and 3rd place awards for each division. For more information or to register a team, go to mayb.com or call Pat Smith at 903-520-0035.

CENTRALIA ANCHOR FESTIVAL


The annual Centralia Anchor Festival will be held this Friday through Sunday, May 29-31.

2015 BETHEL YOUTH FIDDLE CAMP


The Historic Bethel German Colony is now taking registrations for the 2015 Bethel Youth Fiddle Camp, which will be held June 15th-19th. The Fiddle Camp is for aspiring fiddle and guitar players ages 7-20.  For more information, call Wendy at 573-633-2640, or call the Shelby County University Extension Office.
 

HERITAGE BAPTIST CHURCH REVIVAL


Heritage Baptist Church, located at 1422 East McKinsey in Moberly, is holding a revival with The Groves Family Ministries, May 31st through June 3rd. Sunday morning services begin at 10 and Sunday evening services begin at 6. Services Monday through Wednesday begin at 7pm. Transportation is provided by calling the church at 660-263-7121.

COFFEE WITH A COP


The next edition of "Coffee With A Cop" will take place at the Moberly Police Department on Thursday, June 4th at 6:30pm.  Light refreshments will be served.
 

TIP NIGHT AT UGO'S


Join Team Onshore Outsourcing and the Macon County Relay for life at Ugo's Pizzaland in Bevier for Tip Night at Ugo's, June 4th from 5-9pm. 100 percent of all tips and dessert sales will go to Macon County Relay for Life.

KNOX COUNTY RELAY FOR LIFE


The Knox County Relay for Life will be Friday, June 5th from 6pm-midnight at the Courthouse Square in Edina. The event will also include a Walkless Cake Walk, two scavenger hunts, games, silent auctions and raffles. For more information, call 660-397-2393.

KID'S FISHING DAY AT MARK TWAIN LAKE


The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers at Mark Twain Lake will host Kid's Fishing Day on Saturday, June 6th from 9am-1pm at the Frank Russell Recreation Area. Participation is limited to the first 25 children ages 5-12 who register in advance at the Mark Twain Lake Project Office. They can do so by calling 573-735-4097, or stopping by the office on Route J north of the Clarence Cannon Dam.

TRUMAN VA HOSPITAL CAR SHOW


The Truman VA Hospital is hosting its 9th annual Welcome Home for Combat Veterans Car Show June 6th in Columbia. The show runs from 9am-2pm, with lunch served from 11am-1:30pm.  Contact Mark Johnson at 573-355-8519 for more information.

BLACKWATER CHUCKWAGON DINNER


Blackwater's 2nd Annual Chuckwagon Dinner at Wildcliff will be June 6th at 6:30. $20 per person gets you a menu of pulled pork and all the fixins', plus live musical entertainment, jokes, laughs, a 'vanertible' ride around Wildcliff Wood, and campfire fun.  Reservations are requested by calling 660-888-2300.
 

RICE ROAD CHURCH OF CHRIST REVIVAL


Rice Road Church of Christ presents a series of gospel meetings at the MACC Activity Center Monday-Saturday, June 1-6, with Evangelist Doug Hawkins, starting at 7:30 nightly.

CARPENTER STREET BAPTIST CHURCH VBS


Vacation Bible School will be held at Carpenter Street Baptist Church, in Moberly, June 8-12th from 12:30-4:00pm each day. This is for five-year-olds to 6th grade. For rides, call 263-6201. There will also be a bus stop at the church for any kids in summer school that would like to come to VBS after morning classes.

RANDOLPH AREA YMCA GLOW RUN/WALK


The Randolph Area YMCA's 4th annual glow run/walk will take place Friday, June 12th at 9pm. Registration will begin at 8pm. The entry fee is $20 before June 5th, or $25 after that. The race will begin at the Moberly Chamber of Commerce office on Reed St.

RANDOLPH AREA YMCA BALLROOM DANCING LESSONS


The Randolph Area YMCA invites you to sign up for ballroom dancing lessons. Private and semi-private lessons are available for singles and couples with instructor Milton Bolzendahl, who specializes in Viennese Waltz, Slow Waltz, Foxtrot, Quickstep, and Tango. The cost is $20 for members or $80 dollars for non-members for six hour-long private lessons or twelve hour-long semi-private lessons.
