ZION LUTHERAN CHURCH COMMUNITY GOODWILL THANKSGIVING DINNER


Zion Lutheran Church of Moberly will host its 9th annual Community Goodwill Thanksgiving Dinner Thursday, November 27th.  A traditional menu will be served in the church's Fellowship Hall from 11am-2pm. Home delivered meals are available by reservation. TRINITY UNITED METHODIST CHURCH THANKSGIVING 5K RUN/WALK


Trinity United Methodist Church of Moberly will host their annual Thanksgiving 5K Run and Walk beginning at 8am on Thursday, November 27th in downtown Moberly. To register, to to www.trinitymoberly.org. Proceeds from the race go to the Christos Center.

MOBERLY MOOSE LODGE COWBOYS FOR CHRISTMAS


The Moberly Moose Lodge will be doing the Cowboy's for Christmas again this year on November 29th. The band Loaded Chamber will be playing!

WALSWORTH COMMUNITY CENTER HOLIDAY CRAFT FRENZY


The Walsworth Community Center's annual Holiday Craft Frenzy will be Saturday, November 29th, in Marceline.  Hours are from 9am-5pm, and more than 50 booths are scheduled to attend, with homemade food served all day. The Center is located at 124 East Ritchie Street in Marceline.

LA PLATA FCCLA CHRISTMAS IN THE PARK


La Plata FCCLA is hosting Christmas in The Park on Saturday, November 29th at 6pm. Local businesses and other organizations will be decorating an area or a tree in the park to light up. La Plata High School band teacher Alex Kirby along with his brass quartet will be playing Christmas music throughout the evening. Santa and Mrs. Claus will make an appearance for the children and will be available for pictures. They will be serving hot chocolate and cookies to all of those attending.

COWBOYS CHRISTMAS FOR KIDS BENEFIT TRAIL RIDE


The 21st annual Cowboys Christmas for Kids Benefit Trail Ride will be Sunday, November 30th. Canned goods and toys will be given to the Salvation Army for distribution to needy area families. The ride will begin at the old sale barn location on Route M and South Morley Street at noon and will end at The Lodge in Rothwell Park, and a dinner will be held for participants after the ride at approximately 3pm. A horse saddle will be raffled after the benefit auction following the dinner. A benefit dance for the ride will be held Saturday night at the Moose Lodge, with Loaded Chamber providing the music. KIRKSVILLE COAT DRIVE


The REMAX Home Team in Kirksville is holding a coat drive to help the needy this winter. Drop off your new or gently used coats at their office, located at 111 S Baltimore Suite A in Kirksville Monday through Friday from 8am-5pm.

MOBERLY CHRISTMAS PARADE


The Annual Christmas Parade will be held Monday, December 1st, at 6:00, in downtown Moberly. This year's theme is Winter Wonderland, and entry forms are available at the Moberly Chamber Office at 211 West Reed. Entry is $15 with a first and second prize of $100 and $50 respectively, along with a trophy. Entries should be turned into the Chamber by noon on Wednesday, November 26th.

MOBERLY LIVING WINDOWS


Downtown Moberly will host the annual Living Windows on Thursday, December 4th from 5:30-7:30pm. Horse drawn carriage rides will be sponsored by the Moberly Chamber office.

FROSTY 5K


The annual Frosty 5K will be Friday, December 5th. The race begins at 6pm in Rothwell Park, with registration starting at 5pm. Pre-registration is $20 and due by November 25th, and will guarantee a t-shirt. Registration after the deadline is $25.

MACC SINGERS HOLIDAY CONCERT


The MACC Singers will present their Holiday concert Friday, December 5th at 7pm. The concert begins at 7pm at the MACC Auditorium, and the choir is directed by Mrs. Karen Werner.

HERITAGE BAPTIST CHURCH BIRTHDAY PARTY FOR JESUS


Heritage Baptist Church will be hosting a birthday for Jesus on December 6th from 11am-1pm for kids in kindergarten through 6th grade. Please call 263-7121 to RSVP or for a free ride. Lunch is provided.

MACON WOMEN OF TODAY HOLIDAY CRAFT SHOW


The Macon Women of Today Holiday Craft Show will be Saturday, December 6th from 9am-3pm at the Macon High School gym. There will be over 50 booths of local crafters and artists, plus great food and plenty of parking.

ALTRUSA HOLIDAY HOME TOUR


The Altrusa Holiday Home Tour will be Sunday, December 7th, from 1-5:00. The tour will feature six beautifully decorated home and the DECA the Halls event at Moberly the Moberly Area Technical Center. Tickets are $10 each or three-for-$25 and can be purchased from any Altrusa club member, or at the Moberly Chamber office.

TIMBER LAKE CHRISTIAN CHURCH 'DRIVE THROUGH BETHLEHEM'


Timber Lake Christian Church's 'Drive Through Bethlehem' program will be December 6th and 7th from 6-8pm at the church in Moberly.

RANDOLPH AREA YMCA KIDS NIGHT OUT


The Randolph Area YMCA invites you to drop off your kids for a night of swimming, games, and a lot of fun. Pizza will be provided by the YMCA. Kids Night Out will be the second Friday of each month from 6:30-9:30pm, September through  December. The cost is $15 per child and pre-registration is required. RANDOLPH AREA YMCA PRE/POST-NATAL FITNESS CLASSES


The Randolph Area YMCA invites you to come try out their prenatal and postnatal fitness classes. The classes are taught by Nikki Carter who is a NAFTA certified instructor. A doctor's waiver is required to participate. Classes begin the week of October 20th and runs through December 20th. Class times are Mondays from 6-6:45pm (1st trimester) and 7-7:45pm (2nd trimester), and Thursdays from 6-6:45pm (3rd trimester) and 7-7:45pm (postnatal). CHRISTMAS IN THE PARK


The annual Christmas In The Park, hosted by the Moberly Altrusa Club, begins December 1st and will run through December 23rd. There is no cost for the drive-through display, but donations are greatly appreciated, and help to upkeep the project. Santa will also be at the Santa House several nights as well.

RANDOLPH AREA YMCA ADULT RACQUETBALL LEAGUE


The Randolph Area YMCA invites you to come play in their YMCA Adult Racquetball League for men and women 18 and up. Each team/player will play 10 matches. Come sign up as a doubles team or individual. Matches begin the week of January 19th. The cost is $7 for members and $15 for non-members before January 9th, or $12 for members and $20 for non-members after January 9th. RANDOLPH AREA YMCA BOYS AND GIRLS BASKETBALL


The Randolph Area YMCA invites boys and girls three years old through 3rd grade to come play in their YMCA Youth Basketball League. Each team will play six games on Saturday mornings at the YMCA. Practices begin in January. Come sign up as a team or individual. The cost is $30 for members and $40 for non-members before January 5th, or $35 for members and $45 for non-members after January 5th. RANDOLPH AREA YMCA COMPETITIVE SWIM TEAM


The Randolph Area YMCA invites boys and girls 6-18 years old to come swim on their competitive swim team. They will be competing in many swim meets from October through February. Practices are held on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursdays from 6-7:30pm beginning Monday, September 29th. Children must be able to swim a full length of the pool (25 yards) unassisted. You can register at anytime throughout the season. The cost is $40 monthly for members and $50 for non-members, plus a one-time $25 swim meet fee per swimmer.
